Direct Edge’s EDGA and EDGX exchanges comprise a dual exchange platform that gives Members the flexibility to focus on the variables most important to their trading strategy, from price to speed to fill rates. Both exchanges trade all U.S.-listed securities.

Members are able to enter orders from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET. During this time, our operations desk is available to assist in answering inquiries and to address any trading, technological or other matters.

Direct Edge’s EDGA and EDGX exchanges together serve as the transaction venue for more than 11 percent of U.S. cash equities trading and comprise the top exchange destination for retail order flow from the largest discount brokerage houses, based on SEC Rule 606 Reports on Routing of Customer Orders of the top U.S. discount broker-dealers in the 1st Quarter of 2013. We offer very competitive rates for full depth of book information, with no per user or device fees.

Direct Edge’s EDGA and EDGX exchanges have their primary data facility at the Equinix NY4 data center (NY4) in Secaucus, New Jersey. In the event that our primary facility is unavailable, our disaster recovery facilities at the Equinix CH4 data center (CH4) in Chicago will serve as a back-up for both EDGA Exchange and EDGX Exchange. Direct Edge offers access to NY4 through a Connect Edge point of presence at CH4, providing Chicago-based firms the ability to cross-connect locally to Connect Edge’s network of 18 market data feeds, nine exchanges and nine dark pools.
